Situated on the demarcation line between North and South Vietnam, that is, on
the 17th Parallel, the movie shows the daily life of the people together
with their struggle against the Americans. Constant bombing by B52's
obliges the Vietnamese people to live underground by day and to work on
the land by night. In only a few weeks more than twenty thousand tons of
bombs were dropped on the area.
