Synopsis:

Based on a profound, deeply moving true story set during the turbulent 1980 Gwangju Uprising. Kim Man-seob (Song Kang-ho) is a hard-working, widowed taxi driver in Seoul, struggling to pay off his back rent while raising his young daughter. One afternoon, he overhears another driver mentioning a lucrative fares offer: a wealthy foreigner willing to pay a fortune to be driven down to the southern city of Gwangju and back before curfew.
