Description
America est un groupe américain de folk rock formé en 1970 à Londres (Angleterre, Royaume-Uni).
Apprécié par la critique, le groupe connaît au début des années 1970 un grand succès commercial avec son premier album America,
qui atteint le sommet des charts américains, propulsé par le titre A Horse with No Name (1972) .
Le groupe reçoit le Grammy Award du meilleur nouvel artiste en 1973.
Ce coffret reprend les six albums du groupe pour le label Capitol Records (les deux premiers ont chacun deux titres bonus mono) :
Silent Letter (1979), Alibi (1980), View from the Ground (1982) , Your Move (1983), Perspective (1984) et In Concert (1985).
Les versions ont été spécialement remasterisées par Andy Pearce, considéré comme le meilleur dans le domaine de la restauration
et de la remasterisation. Ces disques ont déjà été réédités sur CD, mais n'ont jamais eu un son aussi doux, vif ou riche,
des qualités qui améliorent vraiment les albums conçus pour être des écoutes faciles et immersives.
