« Avec un peu d'amour, on fait de grandes choses. En deux années, mes voisins ont transformé cette bâtisse vosgienne à l'abandon en refuge. Du haut de mon banc et de mon grand âge, je viens chaque jour guetter les changements. Les trois premiers locataires sont aussi cabossés que moi. Un homme qui se remet d'un geste irréparable, une gamine fragile comme un moineau et une femme camouflant la misère sous sa légèreté. Je savais qu'au contact des arbres, des bêtes et du jardin, ils allaient oublier leurs peines et s'offrir un nouveau destin. Quand ils ont fait cette découverte dans les taillis et qu'ils se sont mis à remuer le passé, je me suis demandé jusqu'où tout ça allait les mener.
Eh bien, vous allez être sacrément surpris… »

Installée en lisière de forêt, Agnès Ledig puise son inspiration dans la biodiversité, convaincue des bienfaits de la nature sur les émotions humaines. Avec la sensibilité qui confère à son écriture une force rare, elle nous invite ici à revenir aux sources du vivant.
