1993年、フジテレビにて放映された「打ち上げ花火、下から見るか？横から見るか？」。その後1995年、「undo」とともに劇場公開もされた、岩井俊二監督の代表作。友情か恋愛かをテーマとした、二つの物語が交錯する彼らしいスタイルで構成されながらも、ほのぼのした雰囲気が味のある作品。
