*Special note about continuity*:

Both, the first season of Flash and the third season of Arrow, aired at the same time (in fact, 1 day apart). Both shows share the same universe, occasionally reference one another, and even cross over here and there.

I highly recommend that from here on out, you alternate your viewings of the series; 1 episode of Flash, then 1 episode of Arrow. It's really cool the way they wrote it, because the times they do cross over, it's supposed to be in the same week (kind of a "real time" thing, but ya' know, in "TV time").

In my opinion, this season of Arrow is a bit weaker than the first two. The overall story is okay enough, but there's quite a bit of angst and melodrama between Oliver and Team Arrow. I suppose you could chalk it up to CW being CW (i.e. being infamous for injecting a degree of said angst and melodrama into its shows). But really, I feel it's a lot more than even seasons 1 and 2 combined. If you can stomach some of the "emotionalism" within the characters, the Flash crossovers, alone, are worth it
