Des années de travail ont été nécessaires pour rassembler dans ces 2 ouvrages l'histoire de la JG26. Documents officiels des archives de tous les belligérants (quand il y en avait), témoignages et documents de survivants, l'auteur à reconstitué, aussi exhaustivement que possible, l'histoire au jour le jour de cette unité de chasse allemande.
Quelques inexactitudes existent dans ces ouvrages, en particulier dans la période de la bataille de france. Cependant, ces 2 livres restent une référence dans le domaine.

Years of work were necessary to gathered the story of the JG26. In these 2 books with official archives (when they existed ) and testimonies or documents from survivors, the author has reconstructed (as exhaustively as possible) the diary of this German fighter unit.
Some inaccuracies exist in these works, in particular during the Battle of France period. However, these 2 books remain a reference in the field.
