BESM - Big Eyes, Small Mouth - roleplaying game Batch Editions 1-3

All of the books in the various files are in pdf format, so they should be easily readable by just about everyone.

BESM (Big Eyes, Small Mouth) is an “old school” style RPG (role playing game) … yeah, the ones where a group of friends would get together around a table and use dice (and maybe some small scale figures) and their imagination to play … back in the days before the online “eye-hand-coordination” games like Everquest, World of Warcraft, and others even existed.

As far as I know of, BESM was the ONLY game ever created that was specifically to play games based on manga and anime stories … there were some “supplements” for already existing game systems like GURPS (Generic Universal Role Playing System, by Steve Jackson Games), and In Nomine (also by Steve Jackson Games) that would allow GM’s (game masters) to run an anime/manga style game using those rules … but BESM was designed from the very start to be a game system JUST for games using anime and manga story themes.
