Bastard Noise группа создающая noise музыку, основана в 1991участниками Eric Wood, Henry Barnes, и Bill Nelson. Первоначально задумывалась как сайд-проект пауэрвайлентс группы Wood и Barnes Man Is The Bastard.

Bastard Noise часто сотрудничали, и многие побывали членами группы или почти членами в течении многих лет. Один из наиболее плодовитых членов John Wiese, присоединившийся к Bastard Noise в 1998 и вложил многое в изменение звучания. Wiese однако не является больше частью Bastard Noise. В разное время участниками группы были к примеру: Masami Akita, Henry Barnes, Bobby Bray, Buckethead, Filth, Usen Gandara, Keiji Haino, Isreal Lawrence, Josh «Ovalteen» Lewis, Tara Tavi, Justin Pearson, Jay Randall, Leila Rauf, Koji Tano и John Wiese.

Хоть The Bastard Noise используют много инструментов, проект прославился и добился признания с помощью своеобразного звучания их специально созданных средств не имеющих аналогов.
