Olympic archer Lizzy Loren went to sleep on a starship.
She woke up inside its training simulation—exactly as planned. Almost.
Humanity’s last colony ship relies on a vast virtual world to prepare its passengers for life on a new planet. At first, the system works. The rules make sense. The risks feel manageable. The glitches are small enough to ignore.
Then the system begins to fail.
Pulled out to help contain a real-world emergency, Lizzy and a handful of others discover the the ship’s safeguards have locked them out. The controls won’t respond. The failsafes refuse to yield.
And the only sanctioned way to save everyone requires them to return to the simulation—on terms set by a system that no longer plays fair.
To survive, Lizzy must do what she’s never believed herself good at.
She must build a team. Learn to trust. Grow stronger under hostile rules that reward cooperation as much as skill—and punish hesitation without mercy.
As the line between simulation and reality begins to blur, Lizzy starts to sense something more unsettling than broken code. The system knows her. It anticipates her choices. And it seems determined to shape her into something she never intended to become.
This is not the story of a chosen one.
It is the story of ordinary people, facing extraordinary pressure, long before history turns them into legends.
Becoming Legend is a character-driven progression fantasy about teamwork, trust, and the quiet moments where myths are born—whether anyone wants them to be or not.
