et acteur britannique né le 8 janvier 1947 à Londres et mort le 10 janvier 2016 à New York.
Loving the Alien [1983-1988] est un coffret de l'auteur-compositeur-interprète anglais David Bowie,
sorti le 12 octobre 2018. Il fait suite aux coffrets [Five Years 1969-1973], Who Can I Be Now ? [1974-1976],
et A New Career in a New Town [1977-1982], le coffret couvre la période de la carrière de Bowie de
1983 à 1988, sa période la plus fructueuse commercialement, et comprend onze disques compacts.
Les exclusivités du coffret sont Never Let Me Down (2018), une version remaniée de son album de
1987, et Dance, une version alternative de 2018 d'une collection de 12 pouces précédemment prévue
mais abandonnée. Les albums live de ses tournées Serious Moonlight '83 et Glass Spider Live '87,
respectivement, étaient initialement exclusifs à ce coffret, mais sont sortis séparément par la suite.
L'album live Serious Moonlight était la première sortie audio officielle de la tournée, utilisant la même
setlist et le même son que le film de concert Serious Moonlight (à l'exception de l'ajout d'une
performance live de "Modern Love", enregistrée à Montréal et sortie à l'origine en tant que face B
de l'enregistrement studio de la chanson), tandis que l'album live Glass Spider avait été inclus dans
la sortie DVD 2007 du film de concert Glass Spider.
Le coffret comprend également Re:Call 4, une compilation de singles sans album, de versions uniques
et de faces B tirées de ses albums et des bandes originales de Labyrinth, Absolute Beginners et
When the Wind Blows, tous datant de 1986. Le coffret comprend également des éditions remastered
de Let's Dance (1983), Tonight (1984) et Never Let Me Down (1987).
