Cyborg 009, i nove supermagnifici (サイボーグ 009 Saibōgu Zero-Zero-Nain?) è un manga ideato da Shotaro Ishinomori e serializzato nelle riviste Shonen Magazine e Shōjo Comic in Giappone a partire dal 1964.
Il manga è stato poi fonte di ispirazione per diversi film e quattro serie anime, solo una delle quali (la seconda, prodotta dalla Toei nel 1979) giunta in Italia, doppiata e trasmessa da diverse reti televisive locali durante la prima metà degli anni ottanta. Nel 2007 è stata riproposta dal canale tematico Cooltoon di Sky. La sigla italiana è cantata da Nico Fidenco. Nel 2009 il manga di Ishinomori venne infine pubblicato in Italia dalla J-Pop.



.: Trama :.

Nove ragazzi vengono rapiti dagli agenti di una organizzazione criminale chiamata Black Ghost e vengono tramutati in cyborg, ciascuno con i propri super poteri. I nove cyborg riescono a sfuggire al controllo di Black Ghost e, aiutati dal dottor Gilmore, iniziarono la loro guerra contro l'organizzazione, il cui intento è di far scoppiare nuovi conflitti globali così da poter vendere le loro armi tecnologicamente avanzate al miglior offerente.
Ishinomori voleva concludere il manga con la sconfitta dei leader di Black Ghost, ma numerose proteste da parte dai fan lo spinsero a continuare il manga, che vedrà così i cyborg in una nuova serie di avventure autoconclusive alle prese con scienziati pazzi, antiche civiltà ed esseri sovrannaturali.
