A funky little project from Japanese DJ Kei Kobayashi -- an artist we mostly know for jazz-related projects, but who really sounds great in this set of old school breaks! It's hard to tell from the notes, which are mostly in Japanese, but it appears that Kei's got some help from Muro and DJ Jin on the set -- and there's definitely a lot of Muro-like touches in the way the tunes come off -- sharp edges around the instrumental bits, and a nearly explosive approach to putting together classic break tracks that takes us back to the South Bronx years when folks were first mixing breaks together -- but also shows a much deeper sensitivity to jazz modes that's crept in over the years. There's a lot of angular funky jazz work on the set -- much of which you'll recognize from older originals, retuned here nicely by the team. Titles include "Jazz Modric", "Stone Felton", "Funk Brockhorst", "Re-Funk Samba", "Perfect Day", "Endtitle", "Routine Mama Funk", and "It's Just Began In Africa (Afro Break mix)".

Ну и от себя:
Мега талантливый и зажигательный японец. Мешает фанк, джаз, самбу, брейкбит с изрядной долей хумора и драйва.
