Le nouvel album du prodige anglais de la techno Daniel Avery présente Song For Alpha, son nouvel album qui sortira le 6 avril sur Phantasy. Song For Alpha fait suite au très remarqué Drone Logic sorti en 2013, qualifié de «début fascinant» par Mixmag ou encore de «référence pour bon nombre d’albums dance» par Dummy. Avec Song For Alpha, Avery explore un espace où écoute privée et musique de club se rejoignent. Cet album est en grande partie inspiré par sa vie transitoire passée entre les clubs, avions, voitures et chambres d’hôtel qui a forgé sa réputation de DJ techno influent de cette décennie. Fort d'une énergie nouvelle, l'univers de Daniel Avery s’est élargi. William Basinki, Brian Eno et Alessandro Cortini de Nine Inch Nails sont autant d'influences qui parcourent cet album. La signature psychédélique-électronique d’Avery atteint de nouvelles dimensions, un son autant pour la tête que pour le corps.
