Can you imagine having to wait all this time for another season after hearing THAT? Anyway, I'm actually sorry I gave season 1 a 10/10 because now I have nothing higher to give the second season. And man, this was amazing. I don't want to spoil anything, but while season 1 was brutal on both a physical and psychological level for Subaru, this season we actually see him at his absolute lowest, begging for mercy and simply wallowing in despair. But it's also the season where Subaru goes from a boy to a man. The true villain of season 1 is finally revealed, as well as possibly the final boss of the entire story. We meet the witches, which may not be what we were told they were. And Subaru has to face off against a situation that requires him to be in two places at once, making him have to choose who to save. Fantastic animation, exquisite soundtrack and some gorgeous backgrounds help immerse you into the story, which is, despite what detractors of the trial section say, exciting. Also, we finally get some development for Emilia. Yeah, I know. That took a while.
