Synopsis: Two neglected teenagers—a fifteen-year-old English boy and a fourteen-year-old orphaned French girl—meet in Paris. Feeling abandoned by their respective families, they decide to run away together to the idyllic countryside of southern France. Settling in a remote cottage, they build their own isolated world, falling in love and coping with the responsibilities of premature adulthood and parenthood away from the constraints of adult society.
