Description
Getting started in OBS is designed for beginners who want to be able upon completing the course to jump in and create their first livestream or record their first broadcast. This training specifically focuses on information that is essential for you to learn in order to meet your broadcasting objectives. Utilizing the adult learning theory by allowing students to see, hear and have hands on practice ensures optimal retention. Additionally, each module builds on the previous to ensure that the information being learned is retained. The course begins by reviewing some commonly used terms / jargon associated with open broadcaster software. In module 2 students go through a high level overview of the user interface. The objective with this module is not to review each toolbar verbatim but instead to familiarize users with the layout of the interface and where to locate specific functions that they will need immediately. In module 3 students have the opportunity to follow along from their device at home in conducting a step by step walk through in preparing to record their first broadcast. Upon completing these 3 modules learners have the opportunity to assess how much they have been able to retain and where they may need to apply additional focus in the optional self knowledge check.
