Synopsis:

Hayley Stark (Elliot Page) is a brilliantly sharp, precocious 14-year-old girl who strikes up an online relationship with Jeff Kohlver (Patrick Wilson), a charming, 32-year-old fashion photographer. After flirting in chatrooms for weeks, they finally agree to meet in person at a local coffee shop. Jeff eventually coaxes Hayley back to his secluded suburban home, intending to take advantage of her innocence. However, the tables are violently and systematically turned. Jeff soon wakes up bound securely to a chair, only to realize that Hayley isn't a victim—she is an icy, meticulous vigilante who has spent months tracking him down to expose his dark, predatory secrets.
