The single reached number 36 in the British UK Singles Chart, despite some refusing to exhibit it due to the title. It was the first single to enter the UK Top 40 which contained the word fuck in the title. It was banned by BBC Radio 1 who refused to broadcast the piece. In the lists of the various rankings, it was routinely referred to as Too Drunk To_____. When it entered the Top 40, the presenter Tony Blackburn referred to the song simply saying A record from a group that calls itself The Dead Kennedys. Good times huh?
