En Mars 2016 Reinbert de Leeuw dirigeait enfin la Passion selon St. Mathieu de J.S. comme il le souhaitait depuis des années.

Le tempo est lent mais le recueillement est profond.

Reinbert de Leeuw pianiste et chef d'orchestre a grandement consacré sa carrière a la musique du XX iéme siècle. Il est décédé en février 2020.

Ce coffret inclus 2 DVD : 1 pour le concert, l'autre contient un documentaire passionnant (sans jeux de mot)  sur la représentation et les interpretes.
Les sous titres ne sont qu'en Allemand, Néerlandais et Anglais (pas trop difficile)

2 passages que je retiendrais principalement sont les premier? et dernier? (déchirant) de l’œuvre .

Ce coffret semble difficilement trouvable en France.
