oh brothers and sisters you are going to dig this one. A beautiful upmix of Led Zeppelin's first two masterpieces 1 and 2. this is not a twofer, they have been carefully mounted as two seperate ISO files in one folder. These both came out beautifully. excellent quadraphonic sound field. nice discrete channel seperation , fantastic dynamic response with crystal clear high resolution. If you are a Zeppelin fan with dvd-a capabilities then this is a must have. The second album was done by special request and since the first album is on my top 50 all time list I decided to do both and pack them together. These were sourced from the J. Page box set remasters ( in this set he spread the stereo field out nicely which enabled me to spread it out even further ) Then carefully remastered for dvd-a with pro-tools, remixed with spec, resampled to 88.2khz w/ audiomuxer, packed w/ mlp surcode, authored to dvd-a w/ discwelder, and mounted here for your listening enjoyment w/ imgburn.I rec. LFE crossover set to 56hz at 1db for both albums. As always there are no scans, no fancy menus, and this is DVD-A only. if you don't have a dvd-a player I highly rec. you get one. This will NOT play on a std. dvd player, it must be capable of reading high rez audio. Please remember to seed at least 1 to 1 so that everyone who wants a copy can get a copy.To be played at maximum volume.
After trying these two LZ masterpieces with several different sources including some 24/96 rips, I came back to the J.Page remasters as they were hands down the best around around for sonics as well as seperation. This is not a twofer, both of them are mounted in there own seperate iso's included in this torrent. The sonics on both discs are excellent. The quad field on 3 is also excellent as Page seperated the instruments nicely. The quad field on 4 I'll give a vg only for" stairway to heaven" which is excellent while the rest of that album is mostly unremarkable in seperation.This is DVDA only, no dvd-v, no dts. Rec LFE setting is 53hz at 1db, To be played at maximum volume.
