Les premiers mixes sur CD de Barry Diament (et de Joe Sidore pour le IV ) de 1987 sont les meilleurs avec un très bonne "dynamic range ( pas ou peu de compression).
Avec les nouveaux remasters de 2014 et 2015 on perd en impact et en précision ce qu’on gagne en chaleur, et on pourrait même aller jusqu’à dire que Jimmy Page a un peu forcé sur la compression.
Le son est horrible , ultra compressé, strident et sans basses. Comment expliquer que John Bonham est l'un des meilleurs batteur de tous les temps quand on l'entend taper sur des boites de sardines ???
