Helix Native is a PC and Mac plug-in (VST3, AU, AAX) that lets you connect and edit multiple amp, speaker, effect and microphone models. These presets can then be transferred to your own hardware. Guitarists and engineers can use it to create sounds in a DAW and then transfer them to Helix hardware to play with those sounds on stage. The list of amps, guitar cabinets and stompboxes modeled in Line 6 Helix Native is impressive. The user interface is designed for fast, intuitive editing, while allowing you to tailor the entire signal path to your needs. Impulse responses from third-party manufacturers can be loaded, a feature that is becoming increasingly important in the guitar and bass world. All the important plug-in interfaces are supported, so any DAW can be used - with the exception of those that run exclusively on Linux (and do not run via WINE or the like in a simulated Windows environment), but this is unlikely to change any time soon.
