Based on real events, the story follows the official U.S. Navy Marcus Luttrell (Mark Wahlberg), deployed to Afghanistan in search of a confidence man Osama Bin Laden. When he stumbles upon an elderly man and three children, he is ordered to kill the four, but Marcus does not have the guts to do it. The whereabouts of Americans decoberto and soon the entire team is attacked by 250 armed men, sent by Al Qaeda.
