In this course, Von Glitschka shows you how to use lighting effects, colors, and a great variety of detailing methods to your designs with Adobe Illustrator. Along the way, Von reveals his insights on the creative process and shares creative works that demonstrate the techniques he’s teaching.

In modern context, illustration and design has become synonymous, I call it illustrative design. The Starbucks logo would be a good example of this. Illustration can be analog or digital in its methodology and can take almost any form. Be it drawn, painted, collage, caricature, cut paper, comic book, and many many more. Within all of these classifications, you have a diverse range of styles as well. So the creative variables of illustration are endless. For this course, we're specifically focusing on the finite aspects of vector-based illustration. And you'll see an assortment of varying style of illustrations throughout. The coloring and detailed methods I demonstrate in this course, all work together and can be utilized in a wide variety of styles. We'll also demonstrate how analog can improve a digital workflow to achieve your illustrative goals on any project. You'll be able to take the information gleaned from this course and adapt it to your own creative workflow to improve your skills. Like anything creative, the more you do it, the better you get.
