Marc Broussard (born January 14, 1982) is an American singer/songwriter. His style is best described as "Bayou Soul," a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop, matched with distinct Southern roots. In his career, he has released four studio albums and has charted twice on Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks.
The son of the Boogie Kings' Ted Broussard, Marc Broussard has Louisiana music history coursing through his veins. Broussard tips his hat to St. Marvin (Gaye), covering "Inner City Blues" and "If I Could Build My Whole Word Around You," as well as hot New Orleans sounds (local legend Allan Toussaint's "Yes We Can, Can," a hit for the Pointer Sisters). While it won't win awards for originality, S.O.S. lives up to its title, a heartfelt revival and celebration of American music.No Depression (p.95) - "S.O.S. certainly works as a tribute to soul, marking Broussard as a young classicist. It's also a good sign that his 'Come In From The Cold' is the most compelling moment on the album."
