Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance is an updated version of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty containing the original game while adding hundreds of VR missions, a theatre mode and more. It was originally released on the Xbox and later made it onto PS2 and PC.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is an action-adventure stealth game developed and published by Konami for the PlayStation 2 in 2001. It is the fourth Metal Gear game written and directed by Hideo Kojima and serves as the direct sequel to the original Metal Gear Solid.
