Synopsis

Akinori Kimura (Sadao Abe) and his wife Mieko (Miho Kanno) opens an apple orchard in their hometown of Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture. Due to Meiko's allergic reaction to pesticides, Akinori Kimura has to grow his apples without the aid of chemicals. Because of this challenge, his family endures hardships and suffers severe financial difficulties. Akinori Kimura even contemplates suicide. A miracle then happens ..

\Notes
1) Based on the true story of Akinori Kimura and his wife Mieko Kimura. Their story was first brought to the public's attention via an NHK program titled "Way of Professional Work". Takuji Ishikawa then wrote a novel on the husband and wife titled "Kiseki no Ringo (Zettai Fukano) oh Kutsugaeshita Noka・ Akinori Kimura no Kiroku" (published July, 2008 by Gentosha).
2) Filming takes place from mid-April to mid-June, 2012 in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture. In addition, scenery filming will take place during autumn and winter, 2012.
