After having been involved in several brazilian bands from various musical backgrounds, Raphael MONTECHIARI recorded his first album in the year 2009. Jointly published by the Musea and Rock Symphony labels, "How Was The Future ?" logically gives plenty of space for his beloved intrument: the keyboards. But this would be unfair not to mention the fact that Raphael MONTECHIARI PROJECT is supposed to be a real band. One could even say that the twelve tracks here show a remarkable team spirit. Musically speaking, we're most of the time getting away from the traditional Seventies symphonic music dear to the South-American School, to join the ranks of the best current Progressive rock trend. The lyrics sung (In English) by Guilherme RAEL surprisingly tend to sound not unlike the excellent Sebastian HARNACK (SYLVAN), as evidenced in the song "Delayed". But as you could never escape from your origins, the influences from EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER or PINK FLOYD are still around... Just excellent !

Après avoir officié dans plusieurs formations brésiliennes aux styles musicaux divers, Raphael MONTECHIARI enregistre son premier album en l'an 2009. Publié conjointement sur les labels Musea et Rock Symphony, "How Was The Future ?" fait logiquement la part belle à son instrument de prédilection: les claviers. Mais il ne faut pas négliger le fait que Raphael MONTECHIARI PROJECT se revendique avant tout comme un groupe à part entière, et par conséquent, ne sonne absolument pas comme l'oeuvre d'un artiste solitaire. L'on pourrait même dire que les douze plages font preuve d'une cohésion de groupe assez remarquable. Musicalement parlant, l'on s'éloigne parfois du crédo symphonique et Seventies cher aux formations sudaméricaines, pour se tourner vers un rock Progressif actuel de très haute volée. Le chant (En Anglais) de Guilherme RAEL contribue à ce rapprochement de manière surprenante, rappelant périodiquement l'excellent Sebastian HARNACK (SYLVAN), comme sur le titre "Delayed". Mais comme l'on ne peut jamais totalement renier ses origines, les influences de EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER ou PINK FLOYD ne sont jamais bien loin... Simplement excellent !
