Electronic duo Northern Kind (Matt Culpin and Sarah Heeley) are set to release the hotly anticipated ‘Credible Sexy Unit’ on October 21st. This, their third studio album presents 11 tracks of exquisite electronica which delivers the duo’s most exciting and accomplished work to date.
Recorded at their private studio in Leicestershire, ‘Credible Sexy Unit’ follows acclaimed albums ‘Wired’ in 2009 and ‘53 Degrees North’ which topped album and download charts across Europe, gained the band a passionate following in the UK and won them a prestigious support slot with Gary Numan and Alan Wilder at the iconic Postbahnof, Berlin. The duo were seen most recently headlining the ‘Silicon Dreams’ festival alongside God Father of the UK’s electronic music scene Martyn Ware and pop legends Heaven 17.
Northern Kind formed in 2006 and are proud to be ‘Indie’ in the truest sense of the word; self produced, self made and free from the constraints of a conventional record label the duo prove that talent, vision and creativity can still cut the mustard in an industry saturated with X Factor production-line pop. Their maverick approach and quality production, coupled with accomplished live performance has earned the duo respect and admiration with their listeners and contemporaries.
“It’s been a while since our last album, but we’ve always valued quality over quantity – we wanted to hold off releasing anything that we, as artists weren’t 100% happy with” said Matt Culpin, founder member of Northern Kind.
