Peter Garrett
Peter Garrett a passé sa vie à explorer les sentiers battus et invaincus qui parcourent ce pays
et ses habitants. En mars 2024, il sortira un nouvel album solo intitulé The True North. Il s'agit d'une réflexion
profondément personnelle sur son voyage singulier, s'inspirant et se nourrissant des couleurs vivantes de
l'environnement naturel australien et des images et des sons de l'Oz moderne. Enregistré avec son
groupe The Alter Egos (qui comprend Martin Rotsey des Oils à la guitare) et produit par Tony Buchen
(Smashing Pumpkins, Montaigne, G-Flip, Tim Finn). Ce sera la deuxième sortie solo de Peter, après
« A Version Of Now » de 2016 qui figurait dans le top 3 du classement ARIA. Le groupe principal impliqué
dans la réalisation de l'album était Martin Rotsey (Midnight Oil) à la guitare avec Heather Shannon
(The Jezabels) au piano et aux touches, Evan Mannell à la batterie et Rowan Lane à la basse.
Freya Schack-Arnott au violoncelle et Ollie Thorpe au pédalier se sont également joints à nous,
tout comme deux des filles de Peter, May et Grace, qui ont chanté sur certains des morceaux clés.
