An accurate account of the treatment of political prisoners in the early days of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) as witnessed by Reza Ghafari. The author was among the prisoners escaping the mass murders of the prisoners in mid 1980s. Ghafari’s eye witness accounts have sticking resonance with the treatment of the current Residents of the IRI’s prisons.
