La musique Long Earth est solidement ancrée dans le rock progressif classique avec des
influences du meilleur du rock et de la pop des années 80/90.
Le groupe a commencé avec l’aide du claviériste d’ABEL GANZ Hugh MONTGOMERY qui
a été un facteur de motivation pour faire rouler le groupe.
LONG EARTH c’est Mike BAXTER (claviers), Gordon MACKIE (basse) qui a 40 ans d’expérience
avec CRY WOLF et ABEL GANZ, Ken WEIR (batterie) aussi ex-membre d’ABEL GANZ et Neil MACKIE
(voix, guitares). Le groupe décide alors de chercher un guitariste principal, c’est-à-dire
Renato MCKIM (ex-SUICIDE UNDERGROUND). Le groupe a sorti son premier album "The Source" en
mai 2017 et a donné quelques concerts à Glasgow avec ALAN REED pour soutenir l’album.
Ils travaillent maintenant sur un nouvel album qui puise dans toutes les influences des membres respectifs.
La musique est basée sur le classique progressif avec des influences des années 80 90s rock et pop.
