Description

Back in 1999, the BBC broadcast a series of half-hour music specials called the Routes of Rock. One of these shows dealt with the Psychedelic Scene in the UK in the 1960s - The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Barry Miles and, of course, the Floyd. The other is a look at several musicians who met with unfortunate ends - including one Mr. Roger Barrett. Again, there are interviews of close associates, archival films, and the like. Another high-profile musician included is Jimi Hendrix.

These were recorded on VHS by a friend in the UK. Our copy has been made from his original tapes. This type of documentary - featuring first-hand accounts of events - really don't come around too terribly often. This type of item genuinely adds a great deal to the history of the band and the times in which they originated. Anyone interested in the early years of Pink Floyd or in the larger Psychedelic Movement should not be without these films.
