Anne Sarofeen, from the central New York town of Auburn, was a powerful bluesy rock singer, somewhere between Joplin and Ellen McIllwaine of "Fear Itself". Her first album, co-signed with her backing group "Smoke", reputedly contains several good bluesy psych tracks.
