Simple Minds est un groupe de rock britannique, originaire de Glasgow, en Écosse. Sa popularité internationale culmine du milieu des années 1980 jusqu'au début des années 1990. Il est connu du grand public pour sa participation à la bande originale du film Breakfast Club avec le tube Don't You (Forget About Me) en 1985, classé no 1 aux États-Unis, au Canada et aux Pays-Bas.
Les membres qui lui sont indissociables, Jim Kerr et Charlie Burchill, fondateurs, sont toujours présents à ce jour.

Ce double DVD sortie seulement en octobre 2003 en Europe alors que le concert de Vérone date de 1989 ("Live in the City of Light" Tour) , montre à quel point la musique de ce groupe des années 80 a marqué toute une génération.
