Space Circus was a short-lived progressive fuson band from Japan. There is nothing ordinary about this band, given the era, this is to be considered some very original music. It is as intense, as it is imaginative. The band uses some very peculiar sounding synth work to contrast the bass and drum bombardment. All of the musicians, as seems to be the norm in Japanese prog/fusion, are top notch. This band really knows how to mix the complexities and nuances of progressive rock, with the showmanship of fusion. They really don't sound like any other bands that I can think of of the top of my head, some have used Return to Forever, or Mahavishnu as points of reference, while these are not pinpointing Space Circus' style overall, they are certainly bands that are in the proximity of this bands sound.
