3,000,000 copies. The song "Desert Rose" prominently features popular
Algerian Raï singer Cheb Mami. Originally, Sting's usual producer
Hugh Padgham was to produce the record, but Sting was happy with the
work done by Kipper, and Padgham was never called.
Many sounds from Spectrasonics can be heard in Kipper's work on the record.
