Description: Post-war years. Policeman Goro Murakami's gun is stolen on a bus. In search of the missing weapon, he is forced to visit many areas of Tokyo, visit secret dens, slums, and vacant lots.
Meanwhile, several murders are committed with the stolen pistol. Goro is obsessed with the idea of responsibility for all these crimes. The criminal he is tracking down turns out to be a former soldier. Goro wonders what he would do if he found himself in similar circumstances.
