Season four of Supernatural, an American television series, premiered September 18, 2008. It was the third season to air on the CW television network.
This season focuses on Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) continuing to hunt demons, the introduction of a mysterious angel, Castiel (Misha Collins), as well as Sam Winchester's new powers, and Dean's return from Hell and his memory of his time spent there. This season also touches on the brothers' continuing hunt for Lilith, who is trying to release Lucifer on the world.
