Recluse sur une île grecque reculée, Julie, tueuse à la retraite, vit des retrouvailles quelque peu épineuses avec son fils, Edward, venu d'Angleterre. Armé de questions sur de nouvelles informations concernant son père, Edward se bat pour trouver le bon moment pour parler à sa mère, qui est d'une distance frustrante. Mais, lorsque le moment se présente enfin, les choses prennent une tournure fatale : le passé dangereux de Julie la rattrape et ils sont contraints de fuir l'île et de prendre la fuite ensemble.
