Sherlock Holmes is ordered to rest, so he and Dr Watson take a cottage in Cornwall. Once there however, they become immersed in a mystery. Why in the course of one night does one man die and another go stark raving mad. Holmes investigates.....

Unfortunately, the reader is one the BBC must have picked off the street, imbuing this exciting tale with as much interest as reading the telephone directory. Ignore this though, for the story is as cunning as ever.
