The Doors est un groupe de rock américain fondé en juillet 1965 à Los Angeles (Californie) et dissout en 1973, deux ans après la mort du chanteur Jim Morrison en 1971.
Affilié à la scène du rock psychédélique, le groupe s'est distingué par une musique protéiforme et assez unique empruntant à la fois au blues (Cars Hiss by My Window), à la pop (Touch Me), au funk (Peace Frog (en)), au jazz3 (Shaman's Blues) mais aussi au flamenco (Spanish Caravan), et aux musiques de fanfare (Alabama Song), et profondément influencée par l'art et la poésie en particulier4. Toutes ces caractéristiques ont fait des Doors un groupe « culte » qui a inspiré de nombreux artistes
