Австралийская группа THE ETERNAL, играющая в синтетическом стиле atmospheric/gothic/doom-metal выпустила свой новый диск, "Kartika", 12 ноября в Финляндии на лейбле Firebox Records и приступила к турне по его представлению. Концерт в Сиднее стал завершающим штрихом перед началом нового проекта группы. Обложку для альбома создал итальянский автор Diego Maniscalco. Мастеринг альбома провел John Ruberto в студии Crystal Mastering.

Черновые записи группа закончила ещё в феврале и тогда же принялась чистить их для финального сведения. Публичная версия не устроила большую часть коллектива. В итоге было решено обратиться к Endel’у Rivers’у, который микшировал последний из известных публике альбомов THE ETERNAL под названием “Sleep of Reason”. Сами музыканты полагают его воплощение удачным. Сложность обращения к нужному аудиотрегеру состояла в том, что незадолго до этого Endel Rivers покинул Австралию и вернулся на историческую родину в Эстонию.

Поездку в Европу в итоге предпринял клавишник и вокалист THE ETERNAL Mark Kelson. Он отправился в Хельсинки, а оттуда уже совершил путешествие в Таллинн. Работа по сведению альбома совместно с Endel’ом Rivers’ом завершилась во второй половине мая.
