Synopsis:

In Thanksgiving weekend of 1973, within the affluent, ice-cold suburbs of New Canaan, Connecticut, the seemingly placid lives of two neighboring families, the Hoods and the Williamses, are rapidly unraveling. Ben Hood (Kevin Kline) is drifting through a desperate, joyless affair with his neighbor, Janey Williams (Sigourney Weaver), while his emotionally distant wife Elena (Joan Allen) copes with profound existential boredom.
