The Pillows ( ??????, Za Pir?zu) est un groupe de rock alternatif japonais formé en 1989.
Le groupe a sorti 22 albums studio, plusieurs EP et compilations, et plus de 40 singles.
En dehors du Japon, ils sont surtout connus comme le groupe ayant créé la bande originale de la série animée FLCL.

White Incarnation est le deuxième album studio publié par The Pillows le 21 mai 1992.
C'est le dernier album du groupe à contenir la formation originale, le bassiste Kenji Ueda ayant quitté le groupe peu de temps après.
Enregistré en Grande-Bretagne, l'album montre une forte influence de groupes britanniques tels que The Smiths et The Stone Roses,
ainsi que l'expérimentation d'un style plus orienté vers le jazz qui caractérisera les deux albums suivants de The Pillows.
