This episode features Marc Almond and Soft Cell.The story of Eighties pop duo Soft Cell, who broke away from the guitar-dominated sounds of the 1970s and helped establish the synthesiser style which held sway for the next decade. Their cover of Tainted Love became a defining record of the era, but tensions between commercial and artistic ambitions finally took their toll, driving a wedge between Dave Ball and Marc Almond.
