né le 8 mars 1979 à Hastings au Royaume Uni. Il est chanteur du groupe britannique Keane.
Le groupe ayant annoncé en 2013 « une pause » afin que les membres du groupe
puissent passer du temps avec leurs proches, Tom Chaplin en profite pour
sortir en 2016 son premier album solo. Le 26 août 2016 sort donc son premier single solo,
Quicksand, chez Island, du premier album intitulé The Wave et distribué à partir d'octobre 2016.
