The band from Wisconsin was formed in 1967. Originally called "Tennis Shoe Tongue Band". In 1969, the band shortened their name to Tongue and recorded their first album, Hemispheres, on Akarma Records. The guys did not become stars of the first magnitude, but their live performances became a legend in the Midwest. They spent about 10 years on tour and gave up to 250 concerts a year! They have played as the opening act for Chuck Berry, Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper and many more. In 1976 the group disbanded. In 2000, the European label Gear Fab Records re-released the album on CD under the title "Keep On Truckin' With Tongue", in addition to the original material from the 1969 album, it included two bonus tracks.
