Description
This course will provide you with an overview of the CO2 Storage and Capture modeling options available in the GEM simulator for aquifers. Starting with simple structural trapping and progressing to mineralization, a 2D model will be developed and additional CCS modeling tools will be gradually put on. The impact of each new method will be thoroughly examined. The components' characteristics, as well as the aqueous and mineral reactions, will be entered using the PVT program WinProp. The geochemical modeling characteristics of GEM as well as its geomechanical modeling capabilities will be covered in this course.
